1. http://www.priceline.comor to http://www.hotwire.com. They basically work the same, but with Hotwire you know the rate ($99 winter - $129 summer ) and with Priceline we've heard they'll except $98 winter - $119 summer. Priceline typically awards the Hyatt as the downtown 4 star hotel. It is only 1 block from the Sheraton.
2. If you are not registered, then register.
3. Type in the city and the dates you want to stay and click next. (i.e. Sacramento)(Party Dates)
4. Choose Sacramento Downtown or 95814 and click next.
5. Choose the 4 star hotel.  As far as we know the only two 4 star hotels in Downtown Sacramento are the Sheraton (On Hotwire the Sheraton is now listed as a 4 1/2 star hotel) at 1230 J St near 12th St. and the Hyatt (4 star) at 1209 L St right around the corner from the Sheraton. The Sheraton is approximately a 3/4 mile down from Old Sac and the parking is free on the street near the hotel on Saturday after 6pm - Sunday.
   Note: Be careful of driving under the influence in midtown Sac.  There many hotels within walking distance.
6. They’re most likely a basic room, but well worth it! Upgrades to suites are only an additional $50 on the weekends. Be sure to mention the weekend upgrade rate. Cab rides from the hotel should be about $5-6 (Be sure never to give a cabby more than $5-7 for a 1/2- 3/4 mile ride, regardless of what he says!). There is plenty of free parking near the club.

If you do not get the room on priceline, simply wait a day and rebid in 72 hours. These rooms have been purchased in advance and are most likely subjected to availability. Realize that once they accept your bid, it is final. No refunds!
